Chester Sportscar’s Factory Built Supercat cars have become nationally recognised as THE standard to aim for; innovative, detailed & meticulously assembled and many customers, with our help and advice, have achieved identical results.

The use of a modern 16 valve engine, quality interior trim, new instruments and modern alloy wheels, will always come at a premium, and Chester Sportscars want to redress this situation and bring the cost of building a Tiger within the budget of more people.

The Ford Sierra saloon car is still readily available, both on the road as cheap transport and in breakers yards, rusty or crashed, waiting to be stripped and scrapped.

When fitted with the Ford Pinto engine and 5 speed gearbox, this car provides all the parts needed – engine, gearbox, front & rear axles, brakes, wheels and steering, to build a road legal Tiger Cat or Supercat kit car, when combined with the Comprehensive Pack containing a New chassis and GRP bodywork, suspension, seats, carpets, instruments, fuel tank, radiator, exhaust system etc.

A suitable car can be bought for around £150 and providing the running gear – engine, brakes etc are in good order then these parts can be transferred onto the new kit which can be assembled in a single garage using normal hand tools, spanners, electric drill etc, by any reasonably competent person.

Previous experience isn’t necessary, neither do you need to be a trained motor mechanic; a build manual and CD are supplied to take you through the build sequence and our experienced team will answer any queries you may have.

Chester always have cars available to inspect, either as fully built models or part build and will be happy to show and explain the assembly of these thorough-bred vehicles.
