Before buying or building any car, it is important to ascertain that the vehicle will be suitable for it’s intended purpose, whether that be sat in the garage, admired and brightly polished, run out on a sunny Sunday afternoon or hammered around the local race track on a track day.

Chester Sportscars offer accompanied test drives and for this purpose keep one or two demonstrators available that the customer can be taken out in. Providing conditions are suitable and there is a genuine intention to buy the car or build one from a kit, then the client may be invited to take the wheel for a brief spell on the local roads in the vicinity of the factory.

There are certain restrictions that are imposed including a minimum age of 25, a full driving licence and obviously, adherence to Local and National speed limits and common sense and courteous driving! The driver must also agree to bear the first £300 of any accidental damage caused, whether from his own negligence or that of a Third Party.

Unfortunately, unaccompanied driving is not allowed by our insurers, nor are we covered for track day or high speed usage, but we hope, in the future to be able to offer this and plans are being prepared for a daily or weekend hire service on selected cars, which will enable prospective clients to fully test and evaluate our range of cars.
