SVA - Single Vehicle Approval

The Single Vehicle Approval (SVA) scheme is a compulsory pre-registration inspection to ensure that vehicles have been designed and constructed to modern safety and environmental standards before they are used on public roads. The inspections are undertaken at selected testing stations operated by the Vehicle Inspectorate, an executive agency of The Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions.
